The South Shore Summer Festival Descended on South Shore Beach

Last weekend with South Shore beach as a back drop, folks from various neighborhoods throughout Chicago came to South Shore to enjoy the soulful sounds of performers like LaVert and funk icons like Cameo. Also performing this evening were local talents such as the South Shore Drill Team.

After surveying some of the people in attendance, many shared that they truly enjoyed being able to sit along the shores of lake Michigan with the Mediterranean architecture of the South Shore Cultural Center setting the scene for an enjoyable musical evening. This is what is meant to "Live the Shore"
